About the author

Raven Oak

Bestselling science fiction & fantasy author Raven Oak is best known for Amaskan’s Blood, Class-M Exile, and the collection Joy to the Worlds: Mysterious Speculative Fiction for the Holidays.

She spent most of her K-12 education doodling stories and 500 page monstrosities that are forever locked away in a filing cabinet. When she’s not writing, she’s getting her game on, enjoying cartography, or staring at the ocean.

She lives in Seattle, WA with her husband, and their three kitties who enjoy lounging across the keyboard when writing deadlines approach.

The workshop is here: http://www.lsff.net/awards/workshop2015/ Then there is the Awards' Ceremony, which is totally worth it as well: http://locusmag.com/Magazine/2015LocusAwardsAd.html The ceremony has readings by Connie and others, opportunities for signings, then the banquet (which is vegetarian friendly, if that matters). During the banquet, Connie MC's the Locus Awards. Lots of jokes and fun. Plus you have to wear a Hawaiian shirt or suffer the wrath of Connie, which can also be fun. The dates are: Friday, June 26th - Sunday, June 28th. It takes place in a hotel, which is pretty affordable as well so if you do come up, you could stay in the same hotel. Let me know if you do (either or both of you) decide to come up. :D

June you say? I need to check some things... That would be FAB. Melissa might even come for that. She's a huge fan of Connie, too!
