TT: Bunnicula!

This week’s Throwback Thursday / TT: Bunnicula by James & Deborah Howe

This was one of my favorite series as a child and one of the first I read that was slightly scary (at least it was to age 7 me) and full of puns.

Throwback Thursday Bunnicula

What I Love about This Cover:  I can’t find the original cover that I had, but either way, it intrigued me. Animals solving a mystery is and has always been a serious weakness of mine in terms of cheesy books. (Yes, I’ve read the mysteries with cats solving crimes.) What I also love is that while his wife, Deborah, died before the series ever went to print, James (the author) credited her anyway.

What I Don’t Love about This Cover: The cat’s eyes are lopsided on his face. And the bunny doesn’t look near evil enough. 😉

About the author

Raven Oak

Bestselling science fiction & fantasy author Raven Oak is best known for Amaskan’s Blood, Class-M Exile, and the collection Joy to the Worlds: Mysterious Speculative Fiction for the Holidays.

She spent most of her K-12 education doodling stories and 500 page monstrosities that are forever locked away in a filing cabinet. When she's not writing, she's getting her game on, enjoying cartography, or staring at the ocean.

She lives in Seattle, WA with her husband, and their three kitties who enjoy lounging across the keyboard when writing deadlines approach.
