I haven’t wanted to post this message because it’s a bit painful and raw for me, but I need to do so sooner than later.
While I realize that Amaskan’s Honor just came out, and I should be doing more to celebrate it, my energy and time right now is divided and rightfully so as Molli’s health is not in a good place. Her long COVID is debilitating to the point that she spends the bulk of her days in bed, unable to do much of anything at all. Even conversations are exhausting as everything overstimulates her overwhelmed immune system.
I’m going to be on hiatus a bit from this site, social media, and writing / art in general as Molli needs my focus to be on her and on trying to get her the healthcare she needs. This doesn’t mean I’m going to stop writing, but it does mean that everything is going to slow down a LOT.
We’re also trying to move into a smaller place that is one level so that it is more ADA friendly for her and her needs, which is also hell to do when you’re both disabled and one, seriously so. (Know anyone Eastside who’d like a nice, big house? We’ve got one.)
I’m hoping that some of the medical procedures we’re looking at will help, as will having a smaller place. Once things calm down, I’m hoping to get back to regular posts and such, but for now, I need to focus where I should–on Molli.
Mask up. You don’t want COVID. Seriously.
See you all on the flip-side.
