Cat-tain’s Log: Episode 017

Netflix and Chill.

My work life didn’t change all that much during quarantine. My partner, Erik, began working from home back in the beginning of March and will continue to work from home until I am no longer at high risk for catching Covid19. He works downstairs in the basement, and I continue working in my office. The cats have settled into the idea of both of us being home but realize I am more likely to pay attention to them than he is. They also seem to know when either of us is in a Zoom meeting and enjoying hopping in front of the camera, as do most pets and children during these odd times. Despite this, our weekends have completely changed.

We no longer go out to eat or head to our LGS (local gaming store) for a Magic: the Gathering draft or board game, nor do we have people over for games. Erik’s not hauling convention gear through the house while loading or unloading the car, and I’m not gone all weekend at a convention. We’re stuck at home, which means we’re spending our weekends either in video game land or binge watching a series on some streaming service or another. For the cats, that means cuddle time. Lots and lots and lots of cuddle time. <3 So much for that *research* my feline friends. 😉
